We installed these beautiful carriage garage doors for a home in Ansonia, CT (06401). Our clients came to us looking for new garage doors that would add great curb appeal while also fitting with their custom garage door installation needs. We suggested the Clopay Canyon Ridge Collection to meet all their specifications. The gorgeous garage doors from this collection can easily be customized in terms of style, construction, and tracks.
For the design of their custom garage door installation, our client chose Design 13 from the Clopay Canyon Ridge 4-Layer Collection. To add even more appeal to these new garage doors, they selected a faux wood finish in Walnut. This means, although the garage doors look like real wood, they are actually made of steel sections. This gives our clients the best of style and durability. To complete the authentic carriage house look, the windows are Design SQ23.
The most complicated part of this custom garage door installation was the high lift track conversion. Because our clients had tall ceilings in their garage, they wanted their garage doors to sit close to the ceiling. To make this happen, we added extra radius to their garage door tracks, making it a high lift track. As you can see in the picture, their garage doors can now rest close to the ceiling, completely out of the way.
